Well, I have made it through the crazy holiday season. I am been crazy busy with work stuff, church stuff and the many Christmas, new years party we attended. I also started a new position at my work. I was doing my last position for almost 10 years and with yellow pages for over 30 years. So I thought it was time for a change. I started training on Monday, Jan 8th and love it. I am the sales assistant to a group of sales reps. I answer questions, do proposals for them, request contracts etc. It is really different and I am loving it.
Our Christmas was very busy but good. It all started on Christmas eve. After our morning service at our church we headed over to the Sleddings for food and fellowship. Yes, there was plenty of food. After we ate and fellowshipped, we went to our candle light service at our church at 6 pm. At 7 we went back to the Sleddings along with the Veronesi's (Marco & Debbie) the Nelson's (Todd & Lori) and us. It is a tradition that the four couples plus all the kids exchange gifts and just be with friends. It was so much fun and the one thing that I look forward to every year. We all got great gifts. The kids had a blast. Then on Christmas morning we got up, (Syd and I) got ready and headed over to Dennis & Linda Hoggards (in Abbotsford) for Christmas day. We stayed there for most of the day and enjoyed their Christmas with their family. We left there around 6 pm and headed over to mission to my half sister's place. I have two half sisters and a half brother from my mom's side. Kevin and I did not grow up with them as we were with my dad and they were with my mom. But I am starting to be with them more because family needs to come first. Dianna is married and has three wonderful children who love Syd and I very much. It is so cool how you don't grow up with someone but are like that person and have the same likes. Dianna is the youngest child from my mom and Dianna's dad. We stayed at Dianna's place until boxing day morning, had breakfast with them and then headed back into Vancouver. We got home around noon, had a shower and then headed over to my families Christmas. There were around 35 of us there for gifts and food. That is always a fun time. So, that was three days of craziness. Now we are in a new year and I pray that you all have a very prosperous year with all your dreams coming true.
