I AM NAUGHTY, BUT NICE

Yes, it has been quite a while since I blogged, but you all should realize what time of year it is. I have been so busy with different functions at the church. I have cooked for three different functions, all turkey dinners. One for 40 people, one for 150 people and the last for 50. Now, I am done, hopefully. I only have one more gift to buy. Yes, I am done. I feel so good. Everything is wrapped too. I am good. Sam is working so I won't see her over the holidays. I am sad. I have been sort of weepy all day because of it. Then she calls me. I started to cry, but she did not know that. If I don't blog for a bit, I want to wish everyone of you a wonderful holiday season. As we all know, He is the reason for this season. We serve an amazing God. Blessings to all of you and your families.

ANOTHER WEEKEND

And what a busy one it was. On Friday night we had a Christmas party for some of the people in my company. We all went on a carol ship cruise for 4 hours. What an amazing meal we had. Lots of door prizes and fun. Our social club at work organized it, which I am on, and I am pretty sure everyone had a good time. Saturday morning got up and went to the church. I made a turkey dinner for all the home group leaders at our church. I cooked for 35 people. They all seemed to enjoy the meal. Then Syd and I did a bit of Christmas shopping. That was fun. In the evening we went to a surprise birthday party for one of the young ladies from the church. Dina turned 25. They blind folded her until she got into the house we had the party at. She was totally surprised. That was alot of fun. Then Sunday night was the Christmas production for our kids department at the church. They all did an amazing job. What fun. Now I am at work for another week of chaos. I am busy just about every night this week. Tonight more Christmas shopping, tomorrow, volunteer at the hospital, Wed, Thurs, setting up for the Christmas dinner for the neighborhood around the church on Friday and then all day Friday cooking for 125 or so people. Saturday, a Christmas party at friends and Sunday, Christmas decorating fun at the Hoggard's. Yes I do not lead a boring life. I hope you all have a great day!!

TUESDAY BLUES

Hey there. I promised some pictures of Rachel and Debbie's boys. The one on the left is Ethan, Rachel's and the one on the right is Owen, Debbie's. I just love these two. They make me smile everytime I look at them. They were at my place on Sunday afternoon. They both are almost three a week apart in age. I am truly blessed to be Auntie Lorna to so many great kids. The picture of the little girl is Isabella. She is Debbie's also. She has the greatest smile. I found out tonight at choir practice she loves coffee like her mom.

I am so glad it is raining right now. The snow is going away. I know two people that have slipped and really hurt themselves on the ice. Both of them went face first on the pavement. Crazy man. I am not doing too much decorating this year. It is only Syd and I at home. I have put up our stockings and did a bit of decorating on the fireplace hearth. I need to also finish my shopping. Hopefully within the next two weeks that will all be done.

Have a wonderful evening.

I AM SORRY

Yes, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I am not being a good poster. Well, not the kind you hang on the wall but the kind you type on a computer. It has been one crazy week. Not only with the snow but with meetings, training, shopping, etc etc. I even snuck in a Partylite party on Sunday afternoon.
http://www.partylite.ca/ I LOVE CANDLES!!
I am not too happy that Christmas is coming up so fast. I have nothing done. Well, I do have my cards done. Just have not mailed the ones out of town. If I had one wish for a present it would be. . . hhhmm, to go on a wonderful hot vacation with my husband, hot in heat hot, not the husband, wife hot. (if you know what I mean) It would so nice to get away and not have to worry about bills, snow, etc etc. Oh well, nice dream. Samantha is doing good in Victoria. Still looking for a job. She will find one. She gets so discouraged but I keep telling her that she has to be patient. That is hard for a 18 year old trying to find her own way and make it on her own. I have some great pictures on my computer at home so I will post those during the week. They are of Rachel and Debbie's boys. They are so cute. I love them to death. Anyway, gotta get back to work. I promise I will do more posting this week.
